Members of the MBC community are united by this transforming commitment to Christ as Lord. Our desire is that others too might have the opportunity to find real life in Jesus.,

We understand that God has placed us in a family, community and a nation purposefully. It is our desire to stand for and impact our community

“We hope that you’ll find a place to belong here at Menai Baptist, wherever you are on your spiritual journey”.

Born and bred in the Sutherland Shire, Neil completed a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of NSW in 1983 and after a number of years in the research field felt called by God to serve the community through the local church. He completed studies in theology and ministry at Morling College in Sydney and served as Youth Pastor at Gymea Baptist Church from 1990, including running a house for disadvantaged youth.

In 1996 he and his family moved to the Hornsby Shire to join the pastoral team at Thornleigh Community Baptist Church, a large family-based regional church and from 2000-2010 Neil served as Senior Pastor at TCBC. During 2011-2012 he served as Interim Senior Pastor at Springwood Baptist Church during a season of transition for both himself and the church. Neil joined Menai Baptist Church in 2013 as Associate Pastor, overseeing pastoral care, connect groups, and ensuring people are fully integrated and engaged in the life of the church.

He has a passion for equipping people to be missional agents of God, helping develop healthy communities of faith in the local church, and upholding the cause of the disadvantaged and marginalised. His interests include spending time in the bush, digital photography, relaxing over good coffee, watching movies, attempting golf and trying to reclaim his youth riding dirt bikes.
